About Maikel Ruijs
Ruijs made his career via Deloitte and Gispen, among others. Because of his new position, he recently stepped down as commercial director at Royal Ahrend.
Ruijs has a background in marketing and sales. Based on his commercial expertise, he will focus on the one hand on the markets in which bert plantagie is very active, including retail in the Benelux. As the new CEO, he will on the other hand occupy himself with positioning our brand in relatively unknown territory, for example in other countries, on the business market, in the healthcare sector and within the hotel industry.
The vision of Bert Plantagie
Bert Plantagie explains, ‘Our organisation started as a supplier of steel furniture to holiday parks, hospitals and reception centres, among others. Since then, we have evolved and transformed into a major retail brand, but we still have everything we need to offer business customers quality and customisation as well, in large and small runs. We can still grow in both areas.’
‘By combining that history and our production capacity with the knowledge and know-how that Maikel Ruijs brings, we are going into the future enormously strong,’ Bert Plantagie believes.
