Besides a sophisticated collection, a designer furniture brand also needs strong management, bert plantagie knows. Therefore, as of 1 September, the management of this Dutch manufacturer will be reinforced by Jeroen Verweij, who will start as Chief Operational Officer (COO).
Verweij forms a perfect tandem with Maikel Ruijs, who took over as CEO of bert plantagie early this summer. The two worked together for Gispen in the past, share a data-driven sales mindset and have both acquired stakes in Bert Plantagie B.V. Verweij brings with him a wealth of experience. In various commercial positions over the past decades, he rose to Commercial Manager at Gispen.
At bert plantagie, Verweij will focus strongly on the operational side of this company with several modern production sites in Europe. ‘bert plantagie is a company with a strong commercial spirit within a dynamic organisation, which delivers quality products that meet all the requirements of our time. I am enormously proud to be part of it. My goal is to further optimise the personal approach that is so characteristic of bert plantagie,’ says Jeroen Verweij.
Verweij will take over a number of tasks from current COO Pierre Gerrits, who will take on a number of key projects within the Bert Plantagie Group.
‘I have worked with Jeroen for more than 10 years, during which he held various positions’ says Maikel Ruijs, CEO of bert plantagie, ’I therefore know his many facets. I am convinced, that with Jeroen’s arrival, our customer’s interests will become even more central within our daily operational activities.’
